"Chicks Eating Out"

Sponsored by the Uvalde Adult Activity Center, An informal group who meet for Dutch treat lunch each Wednesday.

The group visits a different local restaurant each week about noon - no reservations required. They enjoy fellowship over lunch at  that week's eatery.

The group awards the "Silver Spoon Award" for their favorite restaurant each year.

All "Chicks" are welcome!

Annual Frio River Clean-up

This coming Saturday - Sept 6th is the annual river clean-up. Bar-B-Que after the clean-up at 6 PM in Garner State Park The trash bash is held every year following Labor Day weekend.

Volunteers begin walking, toobing, kayaking and swimming the Frio north of Leakey at Camp Live Oak working 20 miles downstream to Neal’s Lodges in Concan. Teams are assigned to sections of the river.
