Hill Country Riders…
A couple weeks ago the Staff at funrivers.com took a day trip to get some shopping done in Kerrville and came across a “Kodak Moment”.
While filling up with some of that cheap gas, a fellow on a nice Harley pulled up next to us with a pooch on the back. Being both a dog lover and a fan of Bikes, we had to get a shot of this! The gentleman said that the skull in the basket was a Halloween decoration that has now become the Dog’s Best Friend.
Believe it or not, we actually run a site similar to funrivers.com but caters to Bikers & Cyclists in the Frio Canyon called HillCountryRider.com- Check it out sometime.. A lot of Bikers come here to ride Ranch Roads (RR) 335, 336 & 337- also known as “The Three Sisters.” There are some amazing views of the Hills on these routes and if you ever driven on them, you’ll understand why Bikers love The Three Sisters. The Cyclists also enjoy the challenging twists of the hills and often train for their next race here.
So besides being a tourist attraction for tubers, RV’rs, lodgers, and campers; The Frio Canyon also offers Hills well known to both the Biker & Cycler Community. I guess we have it all here!
