“Roger Creager” Labor Day Weekend In Uvalde

Every so often, we get out of the Frio Canyon and visit surrounding areas like Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Utopia and other towns for shopping, site seeing, or to check out “What’s” going on. We of course love the Frio Area and hard to beat our own dirt, but we like to give other places some love too!

Well, this past Saturday (Labor Day Weekend) we decided to check out “Uvalde’s Texas Labor Day Weekend Celebration” from our “Events Page” featuring “Roger Creager”.. I will be honest, I have never heard of Roger Creager before this venue; but after seeing them play, I was quite impressed and will be checking out their albums soon! The first song (which unfortunately I don’t know the name of) immediately set the mood for the rest of the evening while getting the Fair’s respectable crowd quickly approaching the stage.

The first impression of the band was an “impressionable one.” Like most Texas “Good Ole’ Boy” Bands, they were down to earth, unpretentious, and up for playing a Great Show regardless of the crowd size. It appeared that these guys are always ready to pick up their instruments and have a good time whether it’s in a filled stadium or a backyard BBQ.

Besides the great music and good times from The Creager Band, Uvalde’s Labor Day Celebration also offered quite a few food vendors. Unfortunately, I had a full meal before heading out, otherwise I would of tried a few things out, however after the show we grabbed a “Sausage in a Tortilla” (Don’t know the official name) but ended up being a perfect night capper!

As mentioned earlier, we love our Frio, however it’s good to get out every once in a while to see what’s going on with our neighbors…

If Roger Creager ever comes to your area, consider checking them out- country fan or not, I think you’d be quite pleased with the show they put on! If you are interested in knowing more about the group, Visit their Wikipedia or Official Page.. Also don’t forget to check out our EVENTS PAGE every once in a while too…

See Ya Around!
