Frio River at Concan is just 90 minutes West of San Antonio and three hours Southwest from Austin through the Texas Hill Country to the Frio River crossings at Leakey. Mid-way between Leakey and Concan is the historic little town of Rio Frio and Texas’ famous Garner State Park. Directions & Location to our beautiful Frio can be found on our Map Page.

Besides river rafting, kayaking, fishing, hunting, and numerous other activities including bird watching and photography- the Frio River Area is also a popular place for Bikers and Cyclists.


The Rolling Hills & beautiful views of the Frio Canyon offer a great ride any time of the year along with being Biker/Cyclists friendly. If you are a biker or cyclist, we also offer a site just for you

Since launching funrivers.com back in August 07', we have been perseveringly promoting funrivers' & The Frio River Area of the Texas Hill Country by distributing thousands of flyers, business cards, brochures and other marketing material on/offline across the state and country. Anybody that's been to The Frio these recent years may of seen us cruising around in our yellow jeep or received one of our many colored flyers ( not parking tickets!) on your windshield.
